С оглед на породилите се слухове, че Bollywood ще прави идентичен филм от Warner Bros заявяват готовността си да търсят правата си по съдебен път срещу всеки опитал се да използва текст, сценарий, сюжетна линия или персонажи от филма за Benjamin Button.
Според запознати тази агресивна политика на американската филмова компания не е изненадваща с оглед на засилването на конкуренцията от страна на продукциите на Bollywood, както и с оглед интересите на Hollywood в разрастващият се пазар на Индия.
Миналата година от Warner Bros заведеха дело срещу имитация на известният филм Harry Potter- “Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors”. Делото нямаше успех.
Граничната линия при нарушаване на авторски и сродни права в случаите на такива имитации е много тънка. Обикновено индийските римейки копират основната линия на оригиналните филми но пречупвайки я през реалността на Индия. Warner Bros трябва да докаже че са плагиатствани не само идеята за филма но и нейното конкретно изразяване под формата на сценарий, сюжет и персонажи.
