WIPO обяви началото на нова инициатива наречена ASPI ( The Access to Specialized Patent Information).
Програмата касае предоставянето на лесен и бърз достъп до патентна информация и анализи, чрез които развиващите се държави да повишат значително използването и развитието на потенциала им за иновации.
За да реализира този проект WIPO си сътрудничи с LexisNexis, Minesoft, ProQuest, Questel, Thomson Reuters и WIPS.
Проекта стартира официално на 17 септември 2010 година.

WIPO announced the launch of a new initiative called ASPI (The Access to Specialized Patent Information).
The program concerns the provision of easy access to patent information and analysis through which developing countries can considerably improve the use and development of their potential for innovation.
To realize this project WIPO cooperate with LexisNexis, Minesoft, ProQuest, Questel, Thomson Reuters and WIPS.
The project started officially on September 17, 2010.
