Това решение не е изненада. Преди време the Federal Administrative Court се произнесе, че i-Option не може да бъде марка за принтери, сканиращи устройства и тн.
Интересен е и факта защо от Apple не са претендирали за придобита вторична отличителност на словната си марка iPhone.

Marques Class 46 reported an interesting news about the problems of word mark iPhone in Switzerland.
Swiss Patent Office denied the protection of the mark iPhone because consumers will perceive i as a sign for internet or information. The combination of the letter with phone was descriptive not only for good phone, but for computers, mp3 devices, software and so on.
