Marques излезе със становище относно предложенията на Европейската комисия за промена на законодателството в Европа относно защитата на търговските марки.
ЕК предложи редица изменения в законодателството целящи да хармонизират още повече системата за защита на търговски марки в Европа и да улеснят достъпът на бизнеса до нея. Целта е стимулирате на разстежа и иновациите.
Едно от предложенията е за преименуване на CTM на ETM ( European trademark) и промена на името на OHIM на ETMDA ( European Trademark and Design Agency).

Marques has issued an opinion concerning the European Commission proposals for changes in European legislation on the protection of trademarks.
The Commission proposed a number of amendments to the legislation designed to harmonize further the system of protection of trademarks in Europe and to facilitate the access to it. The aim is to stimulate the growth and innovation.
One suggestion is to rename the CTM to ETM (European trademark) and changes the name of the OHIM to ETMDA (European Trademark and Design Agency).
