Според проучването компаниите, които защитават своята интелектуална собственост имат 29% по-голям приход в сравнение с останалите компании. Индустриите с високи нива на интелектуална собственост са генерирали над 5 трилиона евро в ЕС.
Въпреки това едва 9% от малките и средни предприятия обръщат подобаващо внимание на въпросите касаещи интелектуалната собственост.

OHIM published the results from the brand-new research named Intellectual property rights and firm performance in Europe: an economic analysis.
According to the study, companies which protect its intellectual property generate 29% higher revenue than companies that do not. Industries with higher level of intellectual property are generated more then 5 trillion Euro for the EU economy.
Despite this fact just 9% from SMEs take care for intellectual property matters.
