WIPO обяви с гордост достигането на цифрата от 2 милиона заявки за международни патенти основани на PCT системата.
Двумилионната заявка е била подадена от американската иновативна компания Qualcomm.

A growth in patent applications using PCT in 2010 - Ръст на заявките за патенти по PCT през 2010
WIPO публикува информация относно състоянието на PCT системата за международна защита на патенти през 2010 година.
Според данните заявките за получаване на патенти по PCT са се увеличили с 4,8% през 2010 година. Голяма част от това увеличение се дължи на ръста на заявки за патенти в Китай ( 56,2%), република Корея ( 20,6%) и Япония ( 7,9%).
В САЩ заявките по PCT са намалели с 1,7% през 2010 година. Въпреки това САЩ остава най-големият потребител на PCT системата с общо 44 855 заявки за патенти следван от Япония с 32 156 заявки.
От тази гледна точка положението в Европа не изглежда особено добро. Франция е на шесто място с 7193 заявки ( спад от 0,6%), Великобритания с 4857 ( спад от 3,7%), Холандия с 4097 ( спад от 8,2%), Швейцария с 3 611 ( спад от 1,6%) и др.
Като цяло Европа отстъпва позиции през 2010 година.
Компанията подала най-много заявки за патенти по PCT през 2010 година е Panasonic с 2154 заявки. Тя е следвана от китайската компания ZTE Corporation с 1863 заявки за патенти.

WIPO publishes information about the status of the PCT system for international patent protection in 2010.
According to this data applications for patents under PCT have increased by 4.8 percent in 2010. Much of this increase is due to the growth of patent applications in China (56.2 percent), Republic of Korea (20.6 percent) and Japan (7.9 percent).
In the U.S. PCT applications decreased by 1.7% in 2010. However, the U.S. remains the largest user of the PCT system with a total of 44,855 patent applications followed by Japan with 32,156 applications.
From this perspective, the situation in Europe does not look very good. France is in sixth place with 7,193 applications (down from 0.6 percent), UK has 4857 (down from 3.7 percent), Holland 4097 (down from 8.2 percent), Switzerland has 3611 (down from 1 6%) and others.
Overall, Europe has been losing positions in 2010.
The company filed the most patent applications using PCT in 2010 is the Panasonic 2154 applications. It is followed by a Chinese company ZTE Corporation with 1863 patent applications.
