Целта на Google е да подсигури добър репертоар от филмови заглавия за своите интернет услуги, като You Tube и най-вече бъдещата Google TV.
Наскоро Filmyard Holdings приключи сделка за 660 милиона долара с Дисни за продажбата на 700 филма от библиотеката на Miramax.
Google може да имат определени затруднения обаче по отношение на своевременото излъчване на филмите по интернет, тъй като в момента Miramax е в договорни отношения с редица кабелни оператори. Според някои от тези договорености определени кабелните оператори имат изключителните права да излъчват филмите за определен период от години след първото показване на филмите.
Към момента Google се старае да създаде глобален достъп до всякакъв вид съдържание, включително и до книги ( Google Library), видео ( You Tube) и телевизия ( Google TV).
Според запознати тези планове на компанията не са случайни. Макар инвестициите да са значителни, бъдещето на посочените видове съдържания е насочено към интернет и мобилните комуникации.

Google launched negotiations with Filmyard Holdings regarding the possibility of licensing the rights to the films owned by Miramax.
Google's goal is to ensure a good repertoire of movie titles for its Internet services such as You Tube and especially future Google TV.
Recently Filmyard Holdings closed a deal for 660 million dollars with Disney for the sale of 700 movies from the library of Miramax.
Google may have certain difficulties, however, in terms of timeliness of the films broadcast on the Internet as currently Miramax is a contractual relationship with a number of cable operators. According to some of these arrangements certain cable operators have exclusive rights to broadcast films for a period of years after the first showing of movies.
Currently Google is trying to create global access to all type of content including books (Google Library), video (You Tube) and television (Google TV).
According to familiar the company's plans are not random. While investments are substantial the future of the species content is directed to the Internet and mobile communications.
